The Earth lies shaken in the aftermath of a conspiracy. Some of the smartest minds on the planet have striven for and died in an effort to scour the skies of four vast alien satellites, but their success has brought a terrible vengeance down upon us.

But Lana and the remaining enemy agents are far from defeated. As they begin to reap havoc among the diseased and bereft, Neal, Ayala, and Barrett must find a way to achieve the impossible - by fair means or foul, they must unite the world's disparate nations. Super Sci-Fi Story
Ein klasse Hörbuch mit interessanter Geschichte. Da ich hauptsächlich im Auto höre, wollte ich nie aussteigen 😁
Das erste Buch war schon spannend und jetzt freue ich mich auf das dritte. Wäre cool wenn es einen Film davon geben würde. Den würde ich mir alleine schon wegen der Special Effects und den beschriebenen Technologien anschauen.

Great R. C. Bray and compelling story
If you like hard SciFy Novelas, new enough to take the technological development of the last 10 yrs into account, this one is for you. Start with part one though ;) looking foreward to book three!

Equally as gripping as the first one.
Mr Moss is an admirable and engaging Author, and the performance of this book is really really good.

Fantastic saga!
A must for everyone who likes science fiction. Great story with plenty of depth and surprises. Spectacular character development! Awesome narrator. Plus, in his second book of the fear saga, Stephen Moss reigned in on his excessive use of the word 'proverbial' ;)
I listened to the first book more than once and I will do so with its successors.
Mr. Moss, thank you for this great story :)

Perry Rhodan meets the 6 Million Dollar Man
... Part 2.. could have been written by Tom Clancy.
I do not see any SciFi here, well some of it IS SciFi.
Moss constructs the story line of THIS book like roughly trimmed wood blocks, you might see kind of a form or figure, but it never truely reveals it self.
Again I need to refer to Cixin Lius "The Three Body Problem", his protagonists (and Antagonists) I bare in mind, like i have known them for real.
Nothing here.
It is like Tom Clancy all the way, if you like Action, War and Violence (Of this you will find your share, where it nearly gets to be a Horror Story).
With respect to this you will be satisfied.
This book ends as abrupt as it further sequel,
I don't know.. he did not have more pages to fill because he managed his quota?
It could be a good book, yet again,you get thin soup.
It IS fun to hear, but you will not be satisfied.

Very little plot dragged out over many hours
The book was mostly boring and could not keep the quality of the first book. In the end we get a sudden "twist", that was quite lame too. The story in this book could have been told in 2 hours if it hadn't been dragged out so much.

great speaker, story... oh well
Logic gaps make this book difficult to appreciate. Just one example:
Part one postulated that satellites can attack ground targets. So, if you have a space elevator, you simply would build satellites with such and greater destructive power to burn down just anything anywhere on surface at any time - as orbit is the ultimate high ground. It would be the first thing to build as the defensive and offensive capabilities would be an immediate game changer.
I understand that plot is important, but I find those things too distracting.
R.C. Bray is as always doing a great job as speaker and it's the primary reason why I could finish listening.
