Classic
In my personal opinion, THIS IS one of the best books ever written. I have owned many print copies, and decided to listen to the audio book. Well read, and intensely enjoyable to listen to. 5 stars across the board. Amazing.....

Very good experience but...

Unfortunately, there are entire sections left out, which is a pity considering that the description says that it is "unabriged". It should certainly be mentioned beforehand that there is censoring.

Tolles Hörbuch, super Sprecher,
Die Geschichte selbst ist für mich immer noch die beste von Stephen King.
Diese Hörbuchversion in der Originalsprache hat noch viel mehr Einzelheiten als die gute deutsche Version. Als Beispiel seien die "Stimmen" von Richie Tozier genannt, das geht nur im O-Ton.

A well told Tale, but not what I expected
It, like many books, are better if you go in not having unrealistic expectations. My friends and family have been telling me for years about how terrifying this novel is. Personally, I now question what is wrong with them. The book feels more like a reflection on growing up and how childhood experiences affect us, and just happens to feature a being of immense cosmic horror. I very much enjoyed hearing about the lives of the protagonists, but I was not once scared. It felt, to me, like there was no danger to any character the readers are invested in, and that honestly disappointed me a bit.

Great story. The reading is good.
Great story. The reading is ok. One negative recession says, that there are sentence break ups. That's true, but no meaning is lost. They do this on purpose. But you get it. Sometimes it is simply a chapter switsch...

Great narrator

Amazing amazing amazing
Amazing. Amazing writing, amazing reading. I don't unterstand all the comments about unfinished sentences. Maybe what is meant are the endings / beginnings of the chapters at the climax. A new chapter starts midsentense. But it all makes all perfect sense to me and contributes wonderfully to the story!

fantastic book, great reading
