What a ride...
I just pulled an all nighter because I simply couldn't stop listening. Cried for the first time in 7 years as well. Eventhough the struggles of international politics seem way up there with things I'm happy I don't have to think about, I found myself in these characters, sharing their fears, hopes, dreams and traumas. It's intriguing at worst, addictive at best. Possibly my new favorite novel. Thanks

Nahezu Perfekt
Ich habe das Buch geliebt und liebe es immer noch.
Es gibt nahezu nichts was ich negativ bemerken möchte, hier einige wenige Punkte:
1. Die beiden Länder beziehungsweise deren Herrscher sind ein kleinwenig einbildhaft. Die Amerikanische Seite ist als vollkommen offen und unterstützend dargestellt und die Britische Seite, bis auf ein, zwei Figuren, als vollkommen verschlossen und so dargestellt, höchstens bei machen Figuren so ein „ich hätte dich ja unterstützt aber“
2. Die Stimme vom Sprecher ist ein wenig rau und eintönig, ein bisschen älter als die beiden Protagonisten sind, was ich persönlich ein wenig nicht ins Bild passend finde. Und außerdem finde ich es ein wenig komisch das die Geschichte aus der Perspektive von Alex (dem Amerikaner) erzählt wird, aber der Sprecher einen Amerikanischen Akzent hat.
3. (Sehr großer Spoiler Alarm, überleg es dir gut bevor du weiterliest) die Wendungen sind ein wenig zu hervor sehbar, also ich habe an jeder Stelle gewusst was ungefähr als Nächstes passieren wird, ich persönlich mag solche Geschichten wo man dem Protagonisten einen Schritt voraus ist und zusehen kann wie dumm sich der Protagonist anstellt, aber hier war es schon fast zu eindeutig, der erste Teil war so „wir hassen einander aber zwingen uns dazu so zutun als ob wir uns mögen“ dann beim so tun kommt der Kuss, nach dem Kuss kommt erstmal die „scheisse ich hab nen Typen geküsst und mochte das“ dann die „ wir sind jetzt zusammen aber es wäre supergefährlich wenn die Öffentlichkeit davon weiß“ dann kommt der Große Patzer und sie retten das irgendwie und dann ein Happy end.

A royal treat for ears and heart
I normally don't write reviews, but for this, I will change that. "Red, White & Royal Blue" was a true treat and I loved every moment of it. The characters and their development, their honesty and rawness made them come to life and I truly enjoyed the way the story went from beginning to end. Rarely have I finished an audio book faster and looked for moments, like breaks at the office, walks to the post office, etc., to continue listening. Casey McQuiston has written a beautiful book whose heroes and heroines are deeply needed in times like these. A book that gives hope that the world can change and that one day, everyone will believe what most of us already do: love is love is love is love. Thank you to Lin-Manuel Miranda, btw.

Absolutely amazing.
I’ve absolutely loved this book. I listened to it in just over a day because i just couldn’t stop. It’s charming and lovely. It’s rather lighthearted but not dull or boring at all. Just the right kind of feel good romance book everyone needs once a while.

Just a feel-good story
What a beautiful, cliché-brimming, funny, witty romance story. RW&RB is full with all the well-loved tropes that makes it a fluffy feel-good story. It's absolutely awesome to see a queer romance like this in mainstream media.

I love, love, …
…love this story. I’ve re-listened after stumbling over the film on Amazon prime and though enjoyed the film, it lacks the novels eloquence and many important characters and plot elements that make this novelist exceptional.

Alex & Henry are so relatable - I love this book.
Alex thought he knew what kind of person prince Henry is - but he was so wrong! He not only got to know him, but himself in the process.
They great thing about this book is that these two are not the only interesting characters - I can't wait learn more about the rest of the gang.
I like this fictional president a lot, she gets things done and has a great group of supporters.
On a real life note: I wish the people of the USA had voted a different person into office in 2016, let's hope they do better in 2020.
