This book became a new favorite very quickly: the story is excellent, the speaker is fantastic, it’s all so very good!!! Highly recommend!

dieses Buch hatte es mir von der ersten Sekunde an bis zur letzten angetan! es ist großartig und wunderbar humorvoll. dabei aber weder geschmacklos noch unsensibel. die beiden Protagonisten sind auf ihre ganz eigene Art jeweils unheimlich liebevoll, liebenswürdig und wunderbar chaotisch. ich habe es sehr genossen und all diese Emotionen, Irrungen und Wirrungen und vor allem durch all diese Menschlichkeit zu gehen. ob es nun die verzweifelten Versuche Olivers waren Luc zu verstehen oder Lucs unmögliche trotteligkeit, es war ein Fest! und wenn man ehrlich ist kann man sich in der einen oder anderen Situation durchaus selber wieder erkennen. Beziehung ist schwer! ja und wie, man gibt viel und bekommt viel. aber eben nicht nur das schöne, nur ist es gerade das was Beziehungen ausmacht, sie stärkt und fragil werden lässt. all das ist in diesem Roman wunderbar eingefangen und sehr schön dargestellt. ich wünsche mir auf jeden Fall einen zweiten Band!
ich für meinen Teil kann nicht ganz verstehen warum sich über den Veganer, Vegetarier Humor aufgeregt wird. ich bin selber Veganer und finde es großartig wie dieses Thema hier humorvoll verarbeitet wird.

der Sprecher macht einen ausgesprochen guten Job! jeder Charakter bekommt quasi seine eigene Stimme und Art zu reden. das macht es unglaublich leicht zu folgen und ist dabei unheimlich lustig!

I absolutely love this book!
This might be my favorite Alexis Hall book ever. Joe Jameson did an amazing job reading it, giving the characters different voices and actively bringing them to live.

There is only one thing I do have a problem with. As a WTNV Fan I was rather infuriated by the way the reader pronounced Cecil's name. (especially since there is an early episode of Welcome to Nightvale where Cecil actually talks about how much he hates it when people get his name wrong) but since the rest of the book is a masterpiece I'm willing to let that go.

I really enjoyed this audio book. It's a messy story of fake dating, found family and horrible parents. It was difficult to understand the dynamics at first but in the end it was captivating and lovely. I would recommend this book to anyone.

I lostened to this audiobook in a single sitting. and then, the next day, i did it again. This story is funny, heartwarming and beautiful, the characters are extremely loveable (except the ones you're supposed to hate - they are pricks) and very well-rounded. Love, love, love and cannot wait for the sequel.
