Nineteen-year-old hockey phenom Alexander Price is the youngest-ever captain in the NHL. After an antagonistic introduction, Alex and Eli's inexplicable friendship both baffles and charms the internet. But navigating relationships is hard enough for normal teenagers. It's a lot harder when the world—much of it disapproving—is watching you fall in love with your best friend.

it doesn't happen very often but with this book I was hooked from the very first chapter. It is written so honest and tender. A very sweet story. I love how disability and mental problems are handled. I also liked the speaker. I definitely recommend if you like cute queer love stories.

I loved the characters and their relationship and how everything developed. I want to know so much more about them and their relationship now.

I feel like I smiled most of the book. The narrator is also amazing. There are so many important topics really well explained without it making the book heavy or sad. Eli is just the most adorable human being and I love Alex‘ character development. I cannot explain how happy this book made me feel.

So wholesome and lots of representation

I LOVE this book, so I really wanted to like the audiobook. Unfortunately, the narrator was a really poor choice. Some characters’ voices are barely distinguishable, others have accents that are all over the place and very badly executed. In addition, it could not be more clear that the narrator doesn’t know any Spanish at all, resulting in some funny or lovely parts of the book just being cringe. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by this author, so I want to make it clear that this in no way reflects negatively on the book or her work. I really recommend skipping the audiobook and reading it instead.

Disappointing, it doesn’t do the book justice!
