I came for the romance but stayed for the humour. I don’t know the last time I laughed out loud that many times while listening to an audiobook. And I mean not a sharp exhale through the nose but a literal LOL! This book is so funny, witty, relatable (in-spite of the quite absurd amnesia storyline) and just all in all heartwarming. LOVED the narrator as well, he did an incredible job conveying the northern charm.
The romance sometimes felt a little rushed especially towards the end (classic Alexis hall) and I think the book might have benefitted from a two POV kind of narrative to get to know the thoughts and feelings of Jonathan a bit more but all in all I HIGHLY recommend. Can’t wait for the next one, Alexis hall!
