As was to be expected, this book is rather dark in places. However, it also has very funny moments, and Darian is a very colourful protagonist. He's kind of the antidote to Ash's gloominess, which makes for a fantastic combination. The conversations between Ash and Darian made me giggle many times during the book.

It's the narrator though who really makes all their colours shine. He does an absolutely outstanding job.

I can only recommend this book. It's a pleasure to listen to.
