Joe’s candidacy was successful beyond his wildest dreams. Between driving the elves out of dwarven sovereign territory, utterly destroying an army of thousands, and using resources he could have used for himself to bring back the fallen on his own side...his reputation begins to precede him once more.

The human was so successful that many people even within the dwarven faction have decided that they need to step forward to stop him. Realizing that he’s been in the public eye too long, Joe decides that it’s time to step out of fighting the war and instead focus on completing new quest lines and consolidating power.

The story lacks a bit of fresh ideas, but is still great.
I hope there were no refernces to the Artorian books, that I missed, cause I don't listen to them anymore. Hope the next book won't take a year to write.

While I do love to listen to Artorians adventures and exploits, Joe was my entry into Dakota Krouts works.

Awesome audio book, as always! Just have to say that some parts felt a little too much out of the blue. Especially what happened with the oligarchy

I enjoyed the book but I think there didn't really happen anything till the last 1-2 hours. And that that did happen was too out of the blue. For me the book felt like it was a wind up to a following book. Next book is of the usual high quality though.

70% of the book is characterplay and idle chit chat and wenn the story really gets exciting the book ends like it has been cut in half…

Only a half book

First of all: great Narration.

The book itself is dog. Author clearly only cares about money. 2-3 books could be one. This book in particular is boring and hard to listen to. The author has one talent tho, at the end of every book he manages to suddenly actually progress the story interestingly, planting a hook that forces you to buy the next book if you hope maybe this time its no disappointment, but it will be.

I liked the idea and setting, but im not gonna pay more money for this unsatisfying crap. The author clearly could do better, but it seems releasing the next pamphlet of a "book" quickly is more important than writing an immersive story.

Moneygrab, quit while you can.
