Joe’s candidacy was successful beyond his wildest dreams. The human was so successful that many people even within the dwarven faction have decided that they need to step forward to stop him. Realizing that he’s been in the public eye too long, Joe decides that it’s time to step out of fighting the war and instead focus on completing new quest lines and consolidating power.

While I do love to listen to Artorians adventures and exploits, Joe was my entry into Dakota Krouts works.

It was a long, but worthwhile wait.

The story is great. However, the dwarfs sound really retarded. Very hard to listen to.

the story progression is a little bit on the slow side but the explanations of the system are all over the place.

The story lacks a bit of fresh ideas, but is still great.
I hope there were no refernces to the Artorian books, that I missed, cause I don't listen to them anymore. Hope the next book won't take a year to write.

I love this chronical. It doesn't get boring. There are always ups and downs which make it interesting.

Still a master piece

the story disrespects it's own world building.
in the whole book there was one "hidden knowledge" introduced. everything else can be put in, got more numeric resources without meaning & give dwarves big advantages/ elf's disadvantages without affecting the story at all.

70% of the book is characterplay and idle chit chat and wenn the story really gets exciting the book ends like it has been cut in half…

Only a half book

I enjoyed the book but I think there didn't really happen anything till the last 1-2 hours. And that that did happen was too out of the blue. For me the book felt like it was a wind up to a following book. Next book is of the usual high quality though.
