I always enjoy listening to this series. Even do the last book was a little bit disapointing. This one was way better. Well in my opinion. Finaly joe starts talking back. Not letting people push him around. Well less then usual atleast

He is back and Joe has a tasklist that is so long it’ll never get boring or tedious to listen to him getting stronger, improving or obsessing over a certain architect.
Another wonderful entry into the series by both, the performer and the author

ich bin bei diesem Hörbuch jedes Mal aufs neue überrascht, welche Wendungen genommen werden und wohin die nächste Entscheidung führt! Einfach toll

So the mainstory has not really earnestly been touched since book 5 and at this point never will. Fillerarc galore.
The fillerplot here is hunting the Mcguffin/Daniella.
Also continuesly huge missed opportunity to give the Elveside some true substance beyond one dimensional baddies. Also the narrator just never reached Viaks Adam's level I personally don't like his newer growly gruff voice choices for characters. Just one star, because of all that the author has abandoned along the way and what the story could and should have become based on the initial world building andd characters set up in the first volumes.
