I can’t understand all these bad reviews. The story is different but far from bad. The turn of events and the general behavior seem in fact very life-like to me. The story is one of the most interesting ones I ever heard in the LitRPG genre

Awesomely different

Recently started my journey into LitRPGs with Primal Hunter and was captivated. After fully catching up with that I tried this one next since it was recommended a lot and it was listed as an inspiration for Zogarth. I was a little sceptical at first but soon got to love the Mc and the world building. A great recommendation for everyone loving LitRPGs but most within the genre probably know of this title already. VA was decent but maybe I was just too spoiled by Baldree since this doesn’t quite reach his level. Female voices sometimes sound strange but it’s way better than having two Narrators switch between genders. Over a hundred chapters also seems like quite a lot to me so everyone trying it gets a lot of content to try out if the story is to their liking. 10/10 recommendation for the story. Soon I’ll probably get all books from this series too.

Its true that a big part of the books are battles, but tgey don't feel boring or repetitive at all. Love all the good written action and the main character.
He has his flaws and knows he swims on his good luck, but at least so far he is pretty down to the ground and not arrogant at all.

It has the same „problem“ as many webnovels:
The beginning is pretty rough.
This is often due to the authors not having experience on how to properly write, they just want to share their story. As time progresses they get better with their writing.

In contrast to regular novels authors of webnovels usually don’t have any editors to bounce their ideas off and they drastically improve when readers give feedback.

This is the reason I don’t judge webnovels by their first book. This progress is very noticeable here the ending is improved compared to the beginning.

good world building, nice character development and depth.
story uses a lot of the usual tropes but well executed and fun to listen to.

i'd consider this on rather heavy side in terms of LitRPG elements. it also has a decent amount of wuxia references, which is nice imo.

overall a nice entry, with good pacing and sandboxing to submerse yourself into this universe.
