Heavy cliffhanger and downright depressing ending. Mixed feeling about everything... Can't wait to see how this will play out in the next book.

Der Sprecher wird mit jedem Buch besser und verkörpert die verschiedenen Charaktere mittlerweile sehr gut. Die Geschichte hat leider eine Wendung genommen, die ich etwas enttäuschend fand, nicht zuletzt, weil ich die Kapitel über die Abidan überhaupt nicht mag.

Up until now this is by far the worst book of the series. The main character gets absolutely disgraced by the author in a number of ways. From breaking character just to make a stupid and unnecessary plot point work to losing fights that should by all means be impossible to lose with the tools at his disposal. Really dampened my enthusiasm to continue but I will anyway since all prior books were much better and I hope this was just an outlier.

lazy writing leading to contrived conflict.

If you listen to this you'll know. The End itself is actually pretty good but the plot contrivance to get there is dumb.
so dumb.

also, the book lacks some important scenes.
