J.W. Wells seemed to be a respectable establishment, but the company now paying Paul Carpenter's salary is in fact a deeply sinister organisation with a mighty peculiar management team. First of all I have to mention I feel a bit bad for writing this negative review. This is because I like Tom Holt and I really want this franchise to blossom. But while I was listening to this Audiobook I constantly thought: "Why does it not end?" It just kept dragging on. It is difficult to point my finger at what I did not like. If forced to, I would say its how the story works: instead of gradually evolving it continuously rewrote itself.
