This is the first Xianxia story that I wholeheartedly enjoyed. A real masterpiece that stands above the vast majority of stories without ever growing tedious or lengthy. I hope there will be more soon, including the brilliant audio performance.

I don't know how you would write such wholesome interactions and inner monologues. I enjoyed this very much. I'm directly purchasing the second and the third book. Not that a big fan of the performer though.. Some names were pronounced inconsistently.

I thought it would be just comical murim story. But it is so much more and nicer! It is funny yet somehow deep, shows downsides of cultivation world, and still shows the paths to happiness and my favourite Lovestory. I cried and laughed during listing to this awesome book, and that's something.

Beware of chicken was and is one of the Top story's on Royal road.com. It is a rather atypical cultivation story and focusses itself more on the interpersonal Relationships of our Protagonist and not mainly on his cultivation.
It is a comedy and a funny one at that.

xianxia fantasy has a lot of well known tropes- sects, disciples, prideful masters, "you dare...", etc.
But what if the MC doesn't want to play by the rules. Insteadt of defying the heavens he wants to create his own heaven- a farm.
Tongue in cheek humor, friendship, a little action and heartwarming relations and of course the most important thing -
BEWARE OF (THE) CHICKEN !

I wanted to try something random on a whim and recommendation and what can I say .
its awesome, it's lighthearted interesting and fun has potential for more and doesn't take itself too serious . Will buy the next book.
