A laugh-out-loud, slice-of-life martial-arts fantasy about...farming????

Instead of a lifetime of battle, my biggest concerns are building a house, the size of my harvest, and the way the girl from the nearby village glares at me when I tease her.
A slow, simple, fulfilling life in a place where nothing exciting or out of the ordinary ever happens...right?

This is the first Xianxia story that I wholeheartedly enjoyed. A real masterpiece that stands above the vast majority of stories without ever growing tedious or lengthy. I hope there will be more soon, including the brilliant audio performance.

So wholesome.
I don't know how you would write such wholesome interactions and inner monologues. I enjoyed this very much. I'm directly purchasing the second and the third book. Not that a big fan of the performer though.. Some names were pronounced inconsistently.

Beautiful "slice of life" fantasy
xianxia fantasy has a lot of well known tropes- sects, disciples, prideful masters, "you dare...", etc.
But what if the MC doesn't want to play by the rules. Insteadt of defying the heavens he wants to create his own heaven- a farm.
Tongue in cheek humor, friendship, a little action and heartwarming relations and of course the most important thing -
BEWARE OF (THE) CHICKEN !

I liked it more then expected
I wanted to try something random on a whim and recommendation and what can I say .
its awesome, it's lighthearted interesting and fun has potential for more and doesn't take itself too serious . Will buy the next book.

Hells yeah!
Read the original on RoyalRoad and am super stoked with how the audio book turned out.
If you are hesitant, just stop.
This is pure gold and even suitable for newbies to litrpg.
This story has millions of followers over at RR and if that doesn't speaks for itself, I don't know what will convince you.

really enjoyable
a nice story with some action. actually smiled a lot while listening, sometimes even laughing.

This young master is courting death
A slice of life xanxia deconstruction with a canadian touch. If you are tired, like me, of played out xanxia cultivation tropes like jade beauties vs young master who are somehow all courting death, then this comedy is for you. Debuting on Royal Road, the first book sans chapter 1 now removed, this is a delightfull subversion of xanxia cliches. Highly recommended
