Your parents are getting divorced. Now, once you turn 16, you'll be doomed to a pitiful existence on the lowest rungs of society. Something called the Destroying Plague wants its Emissary to infect everyone alive and, as luck would have it, that Emissary is you! But the city sees you as its salvation, not a cause of great suffering...

Scyth aka Alex is a potential Class-A threat to the whole world of Disgardium. That's how the system classifies imba players with an unfair advantage.

However, it is hard to threaten the world while you're stuck levelling up in noob town. It's even harder when all the preventer clans are on the verge of announcing a hunt for you and even your best friends can't be trusted, all while your two patron gods tear you apart from the inside. And now, to make matters worse, your biggest enemy has just become a threat as well.

i listened to many Litrpg book the last few weeks and this one is just awesome! i love the characters the worldbuilding irl and ingame the rpg elements are really amazing

Outstanding series! I listened to pretty much every half way popular litrpg out there (e.g. The Land, The Divine Dungeon, The Completionist, Awakening Online, Viridian Gate etc.) and this is easily among the Top 5.

What makes it unique is the detailed and intriguing world the author has created, from social structure "irl" to the magic system in game.

What stood out the most to me was that the author deploys the PERFECT balance of fighting, questing, general plot etc. Something that would bore me rather easily with many other litrpg novels/ series is that they tend to describe every fight in annoying detail. In this case the author really nails it and is thus able to showcase a huge "event density" that is not diluted by semi interesting battle descriptions.

Truly amazing, I can't wait to listen to the sequel. Strong recommendation for any litrpg fan.
