Bloody brillant
I've read this one a while ago and loved it. It is so entertaining. Now I do my reread on audio....I love that more and more of Josh Lanyon's books are available on audio. And funny enough...I notice things, little sentences, that I hadn't while reading it for the first time...in my haste to get on with the thrilling story. So I enjoy finding this little gems in the story that make it very unique.

Mehr geht nicht.
Grossartig!
An und für sich dürfte das Buch bei dem Setting nicht halb so originell sein wie es ist!
Erwischte mich oft dabei breit zu Grinsen beim hören.

Horrible Protagonist
I liked the mistery part, it was interesting, that everyone is suspicious, everyone had a motive and could have done it.
But the protagonist is extremly annoying, and we are "in his head" we have to suffer through all his annoying yammering inner monologues, endless complaints, his mean view of everyone, his aggression, his weird behavior... It was an extremly uncomfortable read! I hated him. The other guy is vague and not really formed, except the abundant description of his perfect chiseled muscular manly hard... body (eyeroll!).
So, book bad. I will not continue the series, in order not to spend another second with this annyoing character Kit.
Performance was good.

Didn’t work for me
I had high hopes for this book after coming to love Josh Landon for her Adrien English series and The Ghost Wore Yellow Socks. But this one just didn’t want to capture me at all. I listened until the end, hoping it would reveal something that would deliver that spark I got to associate with Landon, but to no avail, sadly. The characters were annoying in a not charming way, the plot felt a bit dusty to me personally, the suspense didn’t engage me, and though Free does a good job with his reading performance, it couldn’t make up for the writing.
