The narrator inflects the end of her sentences so oddly it made it sound like she was reading out a bullet point list of some sort to me, I couldn’t get over it unfortunately. I can’t speak for the story because of this.

also, the protagonist is uninteresting, unlikable and not consistently written - what is she now, a cold-blooded sociopath business woman, or a brittle scared flower? The story itself is well-written stylistically though.
