The story is not so much about an intricate plot and action as it is about Grace and Stevens romance and them coming to terms with their own difficult pasts and problems. It can feels a bit slow at times but is definitely an enjoyable and heartwarming listen.

How have I only found out about this series now? I am in love with the world, the idea of the Paladin's and their special situation and the narrator's voice & performance make it even better.

I adore the world. I fell in love with the characters, they both have so much depth and kindness, and it´s so wonderful to see such respectful characters. I fell in love with this book. Both Grace and Steven are amazing characters, and finding out more about the city, the society, the structures and faiths in the world was so interesting.
