As somebody else put it: „Urban fantasy noir set in the alternate 1940s Chicago with ritual murders, angels, demons, soul bargains, literal and metaphorical sacrifices and a seemingly doomed love, all done from a female perspective.“
Enjoyed myself a lot listening to it. The story is quick paced and thus clearly could have been made into an 8-hour novel, but wasn’t, which is nice for a change.

i really looked forward to this one but was dissapointed. it is sometimes so soppy that it hurt to listen to it. cringe. the wnd was especially bad and unbelievable.

This was short, thrilling, devastating. It’s sapphic, action packed and very reminiscent of Supernatural which made me like it even more. The performance is spot on too.

I didn't expect that much by such a short book. But inside is a whole fantasy world and an engaging plot. I really liked the warlock who struggles with her family's expectations and the chaos she had to face here!
Also love that it is sapphic of course!
