Über diesen Titel

A Necrons audio.

Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner are opposites. Each is obsessed with their own speciality and their rivalry spans a millennia. Yet together, they may hold the secret to saving the necron race....

Listen to it because: explore a story told across the millennia that delves deep into a pair of fascinating necron characters, their relationship and their plans for the galaxy.

The story: before the being called the Emperor revealed himself, before the rise of the aeldari, before the necrontyr traded their flesh for immortal metal, the world was born in violence. Even when they inhabited bodies of flesh, Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner were polar opposites. Trazyn, a collector of historical oddities, presides over a gallery full of the most dangerous artefacts - and people - of the galactic past. Orikan, a chronomancer without peer, draws zodiacs that predict and manipulate the future. But when an artefact emerges that may hold the key to the necrons’ next evolution, these two obsessives enter a multi-millennia game of cat and mouse that ends civilisations, reshapes timelines, and changes both forever. As riddles unwind and ancient secrets are revealed, the question remains: will their feud save the necron race or destroy it?

Written by Robert Rath. Narrated by Richard Reed.

Think you'll like it of you can get through the somewhat slow start to the story.

Slow start but ultimately worth it

That's it.
Necrons.

A book about two Necrons doing Necron stuff.
Stealing priceless artifacts.
Waiting millenia to get something.
Being nice to each other.
And general douchebaggery.

^^

I laughed alot and i learned alot more about Necrons.
I know the basics. But now Necrons have a more ... humane side.
Well anything greedy and egoistic can be humane, with some willpower.

I loved the plot.
The speak is really good too, one of the better ones if not the best for exactly this type of book.

If you liked brutal cunning or a more lax story of warhammer 40k. Get it.
There's only like alot of battles going on. But most are rather fun.
Elders riding Dinos is a good start.

The audio book is amazing. The story is captivating and a great introduction how the universe looks like for the necrons. Yet it is never overwhelming.

The reader is amazing, the voice are now forever canon in my head for Trazyn and Orikan.

Great introduction to how awesome necrons can be

If you like wh40k, this is one of the books you should know. SPOILER AHEAD: the beginning plot serves well to get a general feeling for this book: Trazyn the infinite, a geriatric old man and kleptomaniac, spends his immortal life, pilfering long dead worlds of his kin and other intergalactic species for trinkets to exhibit in his planet-sized gallery. Orikan the Diviner, also a geriatric old man and time wizard, decides one day, to steal a specific trinket out of Trazyns gallery. Trazyn tries to stop him, but fails (because time wizard). Trazyns response: "I'll just ** sue you!". So Trazyn and Orikan end up in immortal, soulless robot-court, where Orikan the time wizard proceeds to save-scum his way through the trial as if he was testing his dialogue options. At the end, the judge is so fed up with both of these petty geriatric old men, that decides to punish them with each others company for the next few years. Shenanigans ensue.

One of the funniest 40k stories
