For Ianthe, war is all too familiar. A former soldier in the Astra Militarum, she now serves Inquisitor Covenant as an agent of the Throne. Her first mission sees her investigating a cult called the Children of Eternity. Well it's a reminder to look at the length before listening, it was over once it started. A solid 40k Inquisition short story.

Taking the aproach of an audio play instead of an audio book seemed a promising choice, though the result is rather disapointing. Trying to buy into more popular Inquisition stories, Blood and Lies features a generic storyline with generic characters, and takes an awfull "oohmphs", "ahhrgs" and "I'm a nasty gun because I make nasty noises"-sounds instead of a proper plot armour.
It feels a bit like a power-narrated game of GW Kill Team supported by a sound generator. Granted, it can be fun. Should you, however, be looking out for this grimdark sense conveyed by some of the better 40K shorts or novels (honestly, just about 1 hour playtime is a joke), keep your hands off!
