Soul Hunter features the introduction to the mostly ignored Night Lords or what is left from them. As the reader you are sucked into the story right from the dark beginn... taken hostage by Talos and his Brothers. Taken to a sinister 30k battleship and to a warp-beast in command.
The story itself make this audiobook a great thing, the reader does a good job... yet I dont understand why a russian accent is used for some characters from Nostromo.
A long dark wait has finally ended.

The story itself suffers from ADB’s usual pretentious, self indulgent writing style. I wouldn’t have been surprised to listen to him pseudo quoting a certain Warsage Aaron Demskius. There’s no doubt in my mind that the biggest fan of ADB’s writing is ADB. What in his head probably sounds epic while writing, lost in his own power fantasy, just causes eye rolling and cringing.
As an upside, him dealing with a comparatively insignificant sub story like the one we get in Soulhunter, means that he cannot destroy established lore and assassinate previously developed characters to the extent he loves to do when writing Horus Heresy entries.
