Remi the reaper (vampire hunter) is trying to make his father proud and find his mother's killers while being looked down upon by any other reaper in the kingdom. Because Remis mother was a dead when he was born, a vampires lover they accuse her.
When a plaque comes to the kingdom, inflecting newly turned vampires and turning them into powerful mutants, Remi meets the beautiful Xiaodan and her infuriating hot fiancé Malekh. They will work on a cure and offer for Remi to accompany them on their travel.
The story was very good paced. It had rapid fighting scenes, travels, spicy scenes and sparring lessons, a bit of banter, a lot of cursing and unexpected turns.
I only have the need to inform everyone that horses don't whip their tales when they are happy to see you just like dogs do.
The narrator did fine but sometimes failed to pick the right voice for the character or rather spoke in another characters voice bc he maybe oversaw who's speaking. But he made very good scary dying noises. And was a good match for Remi.
I would so much enjoy a big production of this with a whole cast of actors.
