Spy, rogue, thief, and noble, Seregil of Rhiminee is many things, none of them predictable. And when he offers to take on Alec as his apprentice, things may never be the same for either of them. Soon Alec is traveling roads he never knew existed, toward a war he never suspected was brewing. Before long he and Seregil are embroiled in a sinister plot that runs deeper than either can imagine and that may cost them far more than their lives if they fail. But fortune is as unpredictable as Alec's new mentor.

The story is creative (especially in the later books) and doesnt feel at all like you've read it a dozen times elsewhere already.
The characters feel like real people and i laughed and cried along with them. Normally, i dont touch anything involving a love story since it's often done poorly and i can't stand grown adults acting like lovesick teenagers or with an unnecessary amount of jealousy/stupidity just for the drama, but this one was done very tastefully and maturely. Huge thank you to the author!
My only critique would be the change of narrator from (I think) the forth book onward. It took me about two hours to adjust to the suddenly different narrator. Both did a splendid job, but some pronounciations etc. change.
I'll definitely revisit this story a second and third time in the future.
10/10 - the entire series

And I must say, I love these audiobooks! Even in this "foreign language" I can follow the story easily and I love to listen to Raymond Todd, who speaks all persons differently and so perfectly! I enjoy these audiobooks every time, I like to go back to Rhiminee.
even in a foreign language - perfect!
