Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

Die Nightrunner-Serie ist eine meiner absolut liebsten Buchserien. Ich habe die Bücher schon mehrfach gelesen (die ersten 3 sowohl auf deutsch als auch englisch) und finde es immer wieder schade, dass sie in Deutschland nicht mehr verkauft werden bzw. nur bis zu Band 3 überhaupt einmal veröffentlicht wurden. Auch das Hörbuch ist richtig gut, denn der Sprecher schafft es, die Charaktere adäquat darzustellen.
Die Geschichte von Seregil und Alec ist immer spannend, manchmal herzzerreißend und immer wieder richtig lustig. Gleichzeitig sind alle Entscheidungen der Charaktere immer sinnvoll in Zusammenhang gesetzt und erklärt. Und die Beschreibungen sind von Lynn Flewelling so gestaltet, dass man sich extrem gut in die Figuren hineinversetzen kann.
Alle paar Jahre lese/höre ich die Bücher wieder, weil sie einfach soooo gut sind.

Wenn der Sprecher 2 von den 5 Kartoffeln aus dem Mund nehmen würde, wäre es manchmal leichter zu verstehen. Nach dem dritten Buch hat man sich langsam daran gewöhnt.

I read the first 3 books in German (my native language). But when I searched for them as audiobooks, I discovered, that they were only available in English... So I bought them in English.
And I must say, I love these audiobooks! Even in this "foreign language" I can follow the story easily and I love to listen to Raymond Todd, who speaks all persons differently and so perfectly! I enjoy these audiobooks every time, I like to go back to Rhiminee.

This audiobook is one of these you can't put off your ears. Raymond Todd is able to bring in the right athmosphere. Every character has his own sound. Perfect!

I loved the books and read them several times, now I love the audio book and I really enjoy Raymond Todd's voice and how he brings each character to life with his voice.

I cannot say much about the story, since I could not get further than a few chapters in. the reader is terrible. his voice is nice enough but he is not able to read more than five words without making a pause, regardless whether or not there should be one at that point, ripping sentences into uneven and ill-fitting shreds in the process! I could not bear it!
