Workout giving anything away, this story is smart. It is a fresh take on a tired trope, and I recommended it to anyone who likes sci-fi, dystopias, or coming of age plots.

Hätten Sie das Hörbuch am liebsten in einem Rutsch durchgehört?

Das Buch beginnt etwas langsam, und ich als Fantasy Fan war erst etwas verwirrt mit den Sci-Fi Informationen, welche ich bekommen habe. Schnell gewöhnte ich mich jedoch daran und konnte das Hörbuch kaum mehr weglegen. Die Story ist spannend, brutal und die Charaktere, teils etwas flach, aber trotzdem sehr gut gestaltet. Tim Gerard Reynolds ist ein begnadeter Vorleser, welcher oft mit der Stimme spielt und sogar singt! Ich konnte die einzelnen Gefühle nicht immer den Charaktere zuordnen in den Dialogen, aber auf jeden Fall gelungen - das beste Hörbuch welches ich bis jetzt gehört habe - dank dem Talent des Vorlesers.

Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

This is simply one of the best series I have read in a long time. The story is epic, characters and the whole theme of the universe simply fantastic. It starts off a little slow, but get's pace quickly, so just hold your horses through the mines.

The best book of the series is part 2, "Golden Son". There are scenes of such epic proportions in this book, you will not believe it until you read it. Glorious.

Ich habe, nachdem ich mit Sandersons, Weeks, Abercrombie und Konsorten durch bin, nach etwas Neuem gesucht und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Handlung ist absolut fesselnd, die Emotionen des Buchs reißen einen mit. Die Mischung aus Action, Romance und Bloodshed ist ausgewogen, die Welt phantasievoll ausgestaltet ohne einen mit Details zu überladen. Der Sprecher hat seinen Job sehr gut gemacht, ich fand ihn super. Absolute Hörempfehlung!

die Story ist spannend, hat interessante Wendungen, jedoch finde ich dass es zu weilen sehr vorhersehbar ist, was nicht unbedingt was schlechtes sein muss. Den Vorleser finde ich sehr gut ud di Stimmen die er den Charakteren gibt sind wirklich passend

The story over all three books is phenomenal.
It has moments so epic that I frequently found myself getting goosebumps.
It made me laugh out loud a lot.
It was so sad at times that I needed a few moments for myself.

The narrator does an outstanding job selling every single moment. He delivered a perfect performance.

This is a surprisingly well written book - even though the story is a string of clichés and the main character is a massive marry sue.
The narrator is also fantastic and a great fit for the material.
You won't find something to challenge your mind here - but you certainly won't be bored.
