Über diesen Titel

Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Workout giving anything away, this story is smart. It is a fresh take on a tired trope, and I recommended it to anyone who likes sci-fi, dystopias, or coming of age plots.

Hätten Sie das Hörbuch am liebsten in einem Rutsch durchgehört?

Das Buch beginnt etwas langsam, und ich als Fantasy Fan war erst etwas verwirrt mit den Sci-Fi Informationen, welche ich bekommen habe. Schnell gewöhnte ich mich jedoch daran und konnte das Hörbuch kaum mehr weglegen. Die Story ist spannend, brutal und die Charaktere, teils etwas flach, aber trotzdem sehr gut gestaltet. Tim Gerard Reynolds ist ein begnadeter Vorleser, welcher oft mit der Stimme spielt und sogar singt! Ich konnte die einzelnen Gefühle nicht immer den Charaktere zuordnen in den Dialogen, aber auf jeden Fall gelungen - das beste Hörbuch welches ich bis jetzt gehört habe - dank dem Talent des Vorlesers.

Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

This is simply one of the best series I have read in a long time. The story is epic, characters and the whole theme of the universe simply fantastic. It starts off a little slow, but get's pace quickly, so just hold your horses through the mines.

The best book of the series is part 2, "Golden Son". There are scenes of such epic proportions in this book, you will not believe it until you read it. Glorious.
