Great sequel
The plot is gripping as always, the development of the characters truly fascinating and of course some tears were shed as well. Don't know how I'm supposed to survive the wait for the final book!

What a follow up!!! Narrator sounds like Merlin :(
I loved Light Bringer the most it gave me the same excitement as Golden Son the second installment gave me. I myself as a German speaker had the pleasure to listen to Marco SvenReinbold as narrator, his voice is the Voice of Darrow! Which made the polite undertone of this Narrator version a bit hard to bare. Will definitely get the German version as soon as it comes out

Better than the last
This is possibly the best narration ever. Really improved the story for me now that we’re back to one narrator. That said I’m getting bored of war. This series has been going on too long slowly. This was better than the last one but I’m ready for the final installment.

Just a great book!
I loved the first red rising trilogy and I think the first two books of the sequel did not have the same quality. Light bringer, however, may be the best book of the series. Pierce Brown brings back the strong main characters and spins a fascinating story that leaves you with a strong appetite for the next book.

Audio quality?
Only few hours in - story great as always.
Narrator performance ist great.
BUT why this poor audio quality? Was this recorded with an old cassette recorder? Or too heavily compressed?

Awesome
Couldn't wait for the german version. I was afraid that the author couldn't keep up the high quality of Red Rising after I listened the 4th Book. I really loved book 5 and book 6 kept me up all night. For me as a foreign listener the voice acting of the speaker didn't match the persons'' personalities as perfectly as in the german version. Everybody knows the language in red rising is kinda rough sometimes and the speaker still gave me some butler-vibes while swearings. After 10h I got used to it and just during a few passages I recognised it again. Nevertheless I'm thinking about listening to it again thus it was so amazing.

Darrow... never goes home
I love this deviation. That man has no luck when it comes to going home. Also Casius... I will not spoiler it, but my heart can't handle more like that. I love how Lysander matured. Thank you for an awesome Audio book. As always the man Tim Gerhard Reynolds made it come to life!

Good sequel of the rising saga
Despite the poor audio quality which sounded flat like a high compressed mp3 in the 90s, I fully enjoyed the audiobook.
The narrator is quiet good and creates for each main character a typical pronouncing and/or accent without overacting.
Having waited years for the sequel I could just not stop listening to it. The story is tense, has some twists typical for the rising books.
Overall I liked the book, but if there is another recording in higher quality I would go for that.
