One of the better Warhammer stories. Very well written, and nicely read by David Timson.

Unexpected story. Really fascinating. The story gives a spotlight to one of the most secret legions in a way, that the reader start to know more about them, but without lifting the veil of secrets.

Dan Abnett manages to introduce believable characters to explore through their eyes what the Horus Heresy will mean for the rising chaos forces and the one of the most interesting Astartes Legions. Outstanding!

Brilliantly told insight into the power struggle against chaos

I've been listening through the Horus heresy chronologically and while most of the books thus far have been good, Legion takes the cake!
The story threads are intricatly written and come go a satisfying conclusion.
Best of all though are the characters, who get established well and draw you into the story.

All in all a great listen!

Für mich der beste Teil bisher! Spannend und toll gelesen. fulgrim war der schlechteste, mit Abstand. Die Reihe ist generell super.


Hammer!

Starts out well enough, but in the end the story breaks down and stops making any sense whatsoever. The Alpha Legion are made out to be gullible fools who fall for a cringeworthy Chaos ploy that everybody can see straight through, except for them apparently. Sad.
