Now that news of Horus' treachery is in the open, a time of testing has come. This is the weakest book in the series do far, at least in my humble opinion. The speaker is great but the book just felt like it is going on and on.

It is a book i guess

I loved the fighting scenes. the author paints a great picture of how they go down.
but the in-between was tedious. i started chapters 8-10 until I finally got through it without my mind drifting off.

This story will have you on the edge of your seat from about an hour in to the very end. Great performance too!

Best book in the series so far

Das zu hören war zum Schluss nur noch Pflichtaufgabe.
Die Geschichte war vorhersehbar, die Charaktere platt und es wurden ständig WH Phrasen wie „immaterium“ mit „imperium“ vertauscht.
Große Enttäuschungen in einer an sich starken Serie.

Leider konnte mich bisher keine Geschichte von Ben Counter voll überzeugen. Obwohl die Voraussetzungen gegeben sind, gelingt es dem Autor nicht, die Handlung mitreißend zu gestalten. Schiffsgefechte, ein übermächtiger Gegner, möglicher Verrat durch vermeintliche Protagonisten und es kommt trotzdem nur minimale Spannung auf, wenn überhaupt.
