the 'big picture' fact based
Great listening experience when you are interested in the direction our world is moving. Hans Rosling was a Swedish public health expert, obviously interested in the global view. With the help of his coauthors he made his last book one that counts. We learn about surprising changes this world has gone through, seasoned with personal experiences from the author's life.
The speaker's way of reading was pleasant to listen to, that is for me personally.
Overall easy to recommend to a broad audience, especially if you think you pretty much understand what really matters on this planet.

True to it's title!
This book can and probably will change how you have been viewing the world! No matter how open you are, chances are that you have been living with standard misconceptions. Furthermore, what you think to know about the five global major risks (according to the author) global pandemic, financial collapse, world war, climate change and extreme poverty are not that what truly is. In view of how information is being trafficked today and the incredible division in our society being caused by misinformation, it is almost eerie how this prophetic book offers the solutions if only people would listen.

Best Book of my Year
Beautiful written, based on well researched facts, underlined with a positive view of the world and a vision for our future, not neglecting the serious problems and challenges, but calm and focused looking at the work ahead of us. This books opens up a truthfully and honest view of the world which I can bear and work with, not loosing sight and hope. This is what this source makes it so diffrent from all the other sources I have to learn about the current state of the world.

sachlich nüchtern und mitreißend zugleich
dieses Buch enthält nicht nur viele überraschende und wichtige Fakten, sondern auch gute Erklärungen dafür warum wir die Welt so unvollständig und verzerrt wahrnehmen. und welche Haltung dagegen hilft. Also auch ein gutes Stück Selbsterkenntnis.
