Sie gewinnt dadurch an Tiefe und Komplexität und wird dadurch ein wenig griffiger.

Super spannend erzählt, man bekommt wahnsinnig schnell win Gefühl für die Charaktete. Der Sprecher macht einen tollen Job. Ich kann es kaum erwarten weiter zu hören!

This story has it all: Mystery, big ships, small ships, action politics, humour, drama and a big part realism. It's reasonably well researched but avoids being held back by its drive to be more realistic. That said, if you are looking for lasers, deflector shields and gravity generators you will be disappointed. Humans in this somewhat distopian future have to make due with rail guns, torpedoes and missiles.

Expanse als Scifi Abenteuer Serie eines namhaften Streaming Anbieters konnte bei mir mit einem packenden Konzept unserer Zukunft punkten. Aber wirklich überrascht war ich von dem Buch das J Corey geschrieben hat. Dieses übertrifft die filmische Bearbeitung in Charakterbescheibung, Konflikt und Spannungsaufbau um einiges. Den Film vorher gesehen und somit Bilder zu den Protagonisten und einzelnen Szenen zu haben, stört mE nicht.
Der Leser bringt eine solide Leistung. Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung.

Es ist der erste Teil einer tollen Space-Opera. Eine facettenreiche Geschichte mit tollen Charakteren. Sehr gut gelesen. Die Story fesselt vom Anfang bis zum Ende

Lots of classical elements mixed up with a believable universe. Characters are relatable and likeable. Laws of physics aren’t broken and there’s more a sociological focus than a science fiction focus.
Only the one main character is too stereotypical to be realistic. The other main character is a bit too classic and may seem out of place. But I really enjoyed everything that happened around them. How the other people interacted with them and how the consequences they faced with every decision didn’t get swept under the rug but actually dictated the story throughout it’s telling.
I’ll be continuing this series.
