Weis and Hickman craft a richly layered tale that spans the entire world they’ve built, even from the very first book. Unfortunately, the audiobook’s narrator has a distinctive cadence that often interrupts the natural flow—leaving listeners waiting for a sentence to end, only for it to continue. That pacing issue detracted from my enjoyment and ultimately ruined the experience for me.
