Great story, great characters, great narrator

I'm a huge Rainbow Rowell fan, especially love Eleanor & Park. This is a very different story: a bit like Harry Potter, a bit like a detective story, a vampire story, and a love story too - and a nice mixture of all this.
Euan Morton has the perfect British accent, I really enjoyed the reading. He plays really well with his voice to give back all the characters.

Much more than a Harry Potter fanfict

The first hour or so I really had to make myself carry on, everything was quite twisted and hard to get into. The whole thing sounded like a very bad copy of Harry Potter. But then Baz came back and it became absolutely lovely. Charming, cute and suddenly it all made sense. I loved it. Also brilliantly read.
So if you‘re confused at the beginning, just carry on with Simon Snow.

I liked it! But I feel like the author could have written this story - and made it just as good - without ripping off Harry Potter at every corner. I almost stopped after the first few chapters because of it. Only another review that promised it'd get better once Baz showed up (it did) made me stick with it.
