Amazing book

I started listening to this and then continued every free minute I had until it, sadly, ended. It's an amzing book. The story is exactly what the summary says it is, it is well written and very entertaining, the characterizations of every single character are great, and it is just really very sweet. It's also teenage dramatics, but that felt very realistic in itself.
I do agree with a previous commenter that this feels like fanfiction in the very best way. If you ever read fanfiction to one of those series that just don't have enough happy ending to satisfy (Like for example Teen Wolf, Supernatural, Harry Potter, etc. - all these stories with heavy themes and very little happiness squeezed in at the end), and were lucky enough to find one that just captured the characters perfectly and tied up all the little loose strings from a technically finished story that bothered you; Just that feeling you get when you find a story that manages to stay perfectly in its universe, explain everything, and make the characters you worried about happy in the best of ways; this is what this book feels like. It's not too heavy, but there is significant plot; it's not too dramatic, but there are teenage angst and antics; it's not too monotone, but it does deal with one and the same problem the whole story through. The story arch works perfectly. There is no big bad evil to fight against, since this is about the aftermath of fighting the big bad evil in the first place. It also gently pokes fun at all the usual tropes of fantasy books we all know so well, and it manages to somehow be effortlessly inclusive. Sexuality, race and ethnicity are not even a topic of consideration at all, nevermind a problem. It manages to show off diversity without even mentioning it at all, it's amazing. Huge compliment to the author, this is really, really well done.
It's also well read, the narrator did a great job giving everyone their own voice and conveying emotions through their reading. Listening was a blast, I enjoyed this one a whole lot and dearly hope there is more of this sort out there for me to find. I'm going to look for more works by this author now. I absolutely recommend this.

Witty and cute

I enjoyed the nonchalant approach. The ending felt a little rushed. However, overall I enjoyed the tale and appreciate its characters.

Solid Book

This book has no big surprises but is wonderfully written with balanced characters and a nice friendship dynamic.
If you're looking for something light und sweet it's a perfect choice.

Exactly what I wanted

I think the overall storyline is quite predictable but it was exactly the kind of story I wanted to listen to.
The first time I listend to the story I sped it up so much I nearly didn't get everything but I had to know the end as fast as possible without skipping parts.
I liked the different tropes and characters. It made me feel so many different emotions.
The best part is the chemistry between the two main characters. They are idiots and I love them.

More than the sum of its parts

Cute story, and somehow more than the sum of its parts. Not for you, if you can’t stand miscommunication tropes though. Also, I thought it was wonderfully narrated
