What happens when one takes a murderous psychopath and forces them to team up with a cowardly tinkerer? Though not a question Jeremiah ever expected to ponder, he is nevertheless looking forward to seeing what the aforementioned duo will cook up. Success or failure does not matter to Richard, only that the journey be entertaining.
Things are far less jovial for the one under Tom's "care", however. Stuck in the monster-infested wilderness, lacking the usual backup, hunted by the Empire's top brass, and tasked with an incredibly vague and obtuse Quest, Boxxy will face a world of uncertainty and adversity. However, this is nothing new. Pain, suffering, and loss are things that have been commonplace since day one, and Boxxy is not only entirely undaunted, but also eager to share those valuable lessons with its new "companion". With things both shiny and tasty on the line, the crafty killer has every intention of showing that lich who's boss.
Assuming Boxxy manages to find it, of course.

its picking up again.
the god of chaos is an interesting gimmick.
and its champion seems almost selfless in this book.

...Schon wieder die gleiche Rezension...
Ich muss wirklich sagen, dass ich nichts schlechtes über dieses Hörbuch zu sagen habe. Es ist genau so gut, wenn nicht sogar noch ein wenig besser, als die beider Vorgänger. Ich kann nichts anderes Sagen, als in meinen anderen Rezensionen: es macht einfach Spaß. Ich habe innerhalb von einer Woche alle 4 Hörbücher 2 mal durchgehört und bin gerade am überlegen, ob ich es ein drittes mal mache, obwohl ich das lieber lassen sollte, sonst wird sich die Wartezeit für den 5. Teil viel zu lange anfühlen glaube ich.
Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung, wenn man die Vorgänger schon mochte.

Great!
if you liked it before you'll like it even more. the first two were great books, no dispute over that, but this one really starts to kick of a more plot heavy development and exploration of the world it kickstarts the bigger picture and lays the groundwork for what's to come. If you enjoyed number one and two why are you even checking ratings? :D But seriously, if it bothered you that there wasn't all that much plot before it increases from here and gets way deeper in the next book.

Man, with the end of the second book, I really hoped the author got himself laid in the meantime so we could get back to the lude stuff being spice to an otherwise good story, but no, you gotta sit through a rather large part of it.

Explicit scenes I can live with; rape, I cannot
As unlikely as it seems, I do agree with one of the other reviewers who stated “There is a line, you must not cross…”
Neven Iliev treads a narrow path, and he increased the amount of explicit scenes by several orders of magnitude compared to the first installment of the series. But while this was still somewhat okay in the second volume, he oversteps socially acceptable standards in his third book, where a gnome undergoes not only a hefty rape, but is later on also described in length as to how she suffered from the aftereffects and contemplates suicide. This is enough reason for me to return this book, and I won’t go for the remaining one(s).
Jeff Hays’ narration is great, though, which raises the amount of total stars for this book a little above the absolute minimum.
