A powerful dungeon. A sheep-herder turned Noble. Their path to ascendance through cultivation.
Conquering dungeons and using them to grow has long been the most efficient way to become a powerful adventurer. The only thing keeping the process from being easy is the Beasts that inhabit these places. Questions plague those entering this particular place of power: Where do the "rewards" of weapons, armor, and heavy gold coins come from? Why is a fluffy bunny charging at me? For abyss-sake, why are there so many monsters?
Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Core, a soul forced against his will into a magical stone. With the help of an energetic friend, Cal grows a dungeon around himself to bring in new sources of power.
When a threat he doesn't fully comprehend bares its many teeth, Cal is determined to survive the attempt on his life. Unfortunately for adventurers, the only way for him to achieve his goal is to eat anyone that enters his depths.

aber innerhalb des zweiten Kapitels ist mir durch das Können und die gute Wahl des Sprechers das buch ans herz gewachsen,
seine akzente und verschiedenen Stimmen sind einfach ein treat zum zuzuhören.
Betonung, pacing, speechpatterns, ich bin absolut erfreut über das können und Level des Sprechers.
Die Story ist erfrischend und eindeutig nicht langweilig. ich mag die Abwechslung durch den Wechsel zwischen Dungeon und Dungeneers... und bisher, ich bin etwa in kapitel 17, ist das pacing der Geschichte wahrlich angenehm.
ich will so wenig wie möglich spoilern, aber ein jeder der dnd, levelbased games, und die akkumulation neuer fähigeiten und das wachstum in bisher slowpace mag sollte der aufbau dieser geschichte wirklich gefallen.

You just have to try it. Greatly written, with quite good, absolute flat jokes. I love it!
Don’t know if flat jokes says the same in English, my native tongue is germane but some jokes are especially good in English. :)

The story and the teller wauw

The Story was nothing like I expected it, portraying its fantasy world refreshingly different from the norm. It is definitely nothing outstanding plot-wise but that certainly is not a bad thing in this case. Instead of trying to steer clear of all the fantasy cliches it playfully rams into them.
Vikas Adams makes a good job with giving the protagonists distinctive voices, not sure how flattering that is for a male actor, but he provides the most convincing female voices I ever heard, changing this almost into an audio play.
Sadly I have to remove a star from both story and actor. Sometimes I couldn't help myself but to feel absolute cringe at what and how it was said. I can't go into detail without risking giving you spoilers. However, I strongly advise you: Do the same as I did — use that few paragraphs to get yourself a drink or a snack — the things coming afterwards make more than up for it.
Lastly, you should bring at least some affinity or at least understanding on how computer/role play games work to the table or a good quarter of this book will make no sense to you.
