It's a cool world, and while the main character is extraordinary, there's always some thread looming. But only looming. If you expect drama and plot twists, you might be disappointed. If you just want something entertaining and fun to listen to, this might be the audiobook for you.

The narration is excellent. I really enjoyed the story. It progresses well. The characters are well written. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

OP Crafter in einer Heldenschule. Es gibt Unterricht, Flirts, angedeuteten Sex und jede Menge Crafting und gegen Ende auch Kämpfe.

Sshr gut geschrieben, von Anfang bis Ende durchgehend spannend. Interessierte Charaktere und Story.

Absolute Empfehlung für Leute die auf OP MCs stehen und mal gerne zur Abwechselung einem Crafter folgen wollen

I almost gave this one 5 stars, because I did enjoy it quite a bit, but I just can't get past the overly sexualized female characters.

The majority of female characters are overly flirtatious. Of those characters, almost all are willing to weaponize their sexuality, e.g. showing more cleavage and flashing panties if it gets them a better deal. It goes so far as a female teacher teasing the MC. I'm sorry what? Is there no code of conduct for teachers?

I'd be more tolerant if it was just a few of the female characters, but the vast majority of them acting that way just feels like I'm reading a harem novel, even if it technically isn't one. I'd have appreciated a more realistic spread of personalities for the female cast.

Generell eine gute Idee, nur etwas viel Sex und Flirts in der ersten Hälfte des Buches.
Teilweise fehlt mir die Spannung und ein schnellerer Abschluss zu den einzelnen Handlungssträngen.

Progress ist okayish, der MC ist kein Trottel, aber auch nicht sonderlich helle.

Sehr gute Sprecher.

Ich freue mich auf den nächsten Teil.

at first I didn't expect much but I was hooked immediately. Unique story and smart MC who is relatable and uses his skill in a smart way you should give it a try.

it sounds as if the two narrators used different microphones. While both do an equally great job, the male audio tracks sound deep and balanced while the female sound shallow and tinny, and that's not due to her voice. Either mixed wrong or vastly different mice settings.

Nevertheless, the narration itself is first class. I've got around 300 books in my library and this is a top tier performance: Yelling, laughing, whispering, shouting, anger, seduction, attraction, disgust.. it's all played so authentically.

Then we have the story, the characters, the world building, the academy system. It's all very well thought out and highly engaging. The only thing I'd remark negatively is that the MC is a bit too OP and - until half way through the book - isn't really struggling in anything.

My major gripes with this are:
1. His mother is extremely dismissive of lower class people and it does not get addressed.

2. Rebecca Woods(the speaker for the female voices) seems to have 3 voices for all the female characters: one with social anxiety, one arrogant and one for "sexy" characters. I found all of them irritating.
I realize that is subjective and personal preference, so I tried to acclimatize, but the "sexy" voice is so out of place in some of these conversations....how can something "she said reassuringly" be said with a breathy growl?

3. The main character does not seem to realize the potential of his innate ability,
He even acknowledges it and strives to do better...which means he suddenly is dead set on becoming something he has not shown an inclination for, while doing nothing different to achieve it.
We suddenly hear about a favourite class we never really were told much about.

4. The sex. Why. It seems to only exist to give him a reason to interact with one of his companions. It's as if the author could not think of an interesting character.

I will return it shortly(I heard circa 10h).

If that doesn't deter you, here are my positive thoughts:

1. Daniel Wisniewski has a pleasant voice.

2. The worldbuilding is fantastic. Factions, a school system, guilds, a class system.
I wish it would have been explored more, but I guess that will be in the second half or Book 2. (without that hope I'd give 3/5 Stars)

3. The characters - although relatively flat - stay consistent with their traits. There is even a bit of character growth.

4. The introduction of new systems is organic. There are no great infodumps.
