I think I like this sequal even more than the first one. All the characters living on Faram now makes it even more fun, heart warming and easy going, but still without ever being boring, because so much is going on with each of these characters.

Ich mag die Geschichte. Nach einem langen Tag ist sie genau das richtige. Sie ist durchdacht, hat verschiedene Charaktere und trotz ernsten Themen immer wieder was zum Lachen. Eine runde Geschichte die einen roten Faden hat, die den Leser durch die Geschichte führt.

The confy and grin spreading calm before the storm. We get the start of an apocalyptic mystery... but without lessening the farming slice of life fun and friendship we so much enjoy.

But one thing is clear book 3 will be a nuke!

What you enjoyed in Book 1, you get more in Book 2

Ich habe mir beide Hörbücher nun in einem sehr kurzen Zeitraum angehört, da ich einfach nicht aufhören konnte, die Story ist recht gemütlich, aber nicht langweillig, sehr viel Humor ohne das es nervig oder albern wird.

Auch die verschiedenen Sichtweisen von den einzelnen "Personen" ist gut eingebaut. Dazu kommt noch das im Hintergrund sich langsam ein weiterer Storystrang aufbaut.

Fazit: Ich hoffe das schnell weitere Teile fertig werden, vor allem in einer ähnlich Langen Spieldauer. Mir macht es Spass und Freue mich weiter in diese Welt eintauchen zu können.

Beware of Chicken 2 takes everything that made the first book so cozy, hilarious, and unexpectedly epic—and builds on it beautifully. While Jin is still at the center of the farm, this time the spotlight shifts to the rest of the gang as the world (and danger) slowly starts creeping in. It's a delightful blend of slice-of-life, cultivation madness, and character-driven storytelling.

The spirit animals completely stole the show in this book—each one has their own arc, personality, and hilarious quirks, and watching them grow was such a joy.

I really enjoyed getting more POVs—it made the story feel bigger and more layered without losing the charm.

The world building and little side quests were just fantastic. From river journeys to rogue cultivator trouble, it’s a slow build that never drags.


If you're a fan of cozy fantasy with surprising depth, emotional beats, and a farm full of loveable, Qi-powered chaos, this is a must-read. Bring on Book 3!

But I have to admit I’m pretty sure there’s a lot I don’t get, the names confuse me, some of the storylines confuse me… Also why did this Senior Professor guy never show up? I don’t know I’ll guess I’ll trust the process
