The story really is a twisted mystery!

I think the world the author made is genious. The latents with their magic power triggered by artifacts made by trauma. Wow, that's heavy.

Dom and his employer are something like private detectives, trying to get hold of the dangerous artifacts that conterminate London and I really came to like the ex military eastend guy. But he doesn't look alike the wizard on the cover anymore in my head.

Dom being gay added to me enjoying the story and there is much tension in this book. And everytime the scenes are quiet be alert, the roof will be crashing down suddenly. Fanomanal.

I hope there is more "Hollywood" in the next book. The scenery in London was really pretty and the escape in the underground, so good.

The narrator was way too fast, so I listened with speed at 0,9 which also makes his voice darker.

There was one scene where the door was suddenly closed in my face, don't do this to me, if you tease you need to deliver.

The greater mystery is still going and I'm really invested in the lovely team.

narrator doesn't work at all for the story

Hard to listen to when there is often no noticable difference made between the narration and speach unless the narrator is gruffly shouting,or voicing the female characters, This is especially true for the main character. The narrator's voice is too rough to my ears. Story is somewhat boring even during action scenes, but it's likely more because of the way it's read less how it's written. I can see the narratorreading children's books or slice of life fittingly, in my opinion not reading action or itense emotions well at all.
