The best narrator, Joel Leslie has done an incredible job to bring this story alive! I enjoyed every second! It was so so good. It doesn't matter which genre of books, Joel Leslie gives always 100% !

I was so excited, I love Joel Leslie and it sounded so good. I read a lot of queer romance/fantasy/smut and I’m baffled by the good ratings.
The author tries really hard to frame it all as consensual, but there are definitely several non-con issues that left me uncomfortable. The MC is really quite adorable, but a bit of a doormat and the ML is a manchild who cannot control his moods and his urges and repeatedly harms the MCs health. Actual health issues to consider here. Very romantic. Considering the ML
lived for quite the long time, one should think he would have better self control. The ML feels bad about this but does it again anyway and the MC takes it. No character development.
There were several plot points where I thought “wow, this is it, now we go boom”. But there was no boom. It starts of good, I get the idea, but then the plot just stays flat and the chances to make this amazing don’t lead anywhere. The relationship ship seems unequal and unhealthy.
Anyway, I don’t think I ever left such a long review, but this whole experience left me a bit sad and the plot development was unsatisfying and I wanted to spare someone the same experience.
