The author initially warns the listener that this story is a bit wilder then previous ones. Hes right.

I really enjoyed this book after the series getting a little stale for me in the last 1 or 2 books. The meta plot is is expanded quite a bit, a brandnew interesting character is introduced and the pacing in general is great.

The common time travel dilemma is solved in a what I think solid way. As always with such stuff there arise questions on how to limit such power to not be the answer to everything and I think the author did a good job handling that - if you dont ask to many questions on how some mechanics work in detail and just accept his approach to the issue kf course.

Sometimes Jasons foresight, predictions and the time traveling mechanics can feel deus-ex-machina'esk nonetheless but all in all it worked very well most of the time for me.

Further grain of salt is that riley and frank seem pretty detached from everything going on, which I find kind of sad and a pot. missed ooportunity to further interweave the meta plotline.

So all in all great book with a totally new spin onnthe whole series, mixing everything up quite nicely while advancing the meta story quite interestingly.

I really enjoyed the continuation of the story of Jason as well as the intrduction of the earth avatar. Great Series!

Beautiful Continuation of Story

The weakest story of the series in my view. The earth avatar is rather annoying and the story a bit too wild for my taste. Seems a bit like the (failed) attempt to make the story bigger. Mediocre compared to the previous books. I hope the next one will be more convincing again. Given that I love the series, I will definitely listen to the next one again.
