It is a classic and as such full of tropes that were not tropes yet when it was first published. It explores one of the worlds we only heared about in the first installments. But what we learn and the ultimate "lesson" remain untouched. As such the work is weaker than Caves of Steel since no true expansion on the established premise is ever developed.
