Consume—a rare black skill, one decreed by the gods to never be seen again.

Max is finally getting a handle on the skill, finding enjoyment in battling and striving to grow his skills and stats. His new friends don't know the whole truth, but they flee trouble together, arriving at the human capital of Peltagow. With a new city to explore and dungeons to delve, the party sets their sights on gaining levels and acquiring stronger items.

The gods aren't done with Max, continuing to pull strings. Death is just a single misstep away for Max.

The adventure of Max, Tanila, Fowl, and Batrire continues!

I dont like the useless added drama with the Hunger and inner Battle. There is already enough drama and stress. So its only 4 Stars. maybe even quitting the series. Dependance on the end. 1h left.

Mehh, annoying drama added..

The narrator ist great but the female voices often are annoying. I dont know why because the narrator also has good and calm female voices.

Story is still good but there are many little logical issues (like money - earnings are not realistic, how to get money and prices not reasonable, MC doesnt want attention - takes part in a city wide tournament where his identity and skills could bei exposed. also tournament rules seem unreasonable, charakters making weird choices etc)

all in all still very good with some hiccups you have to overlook

Still very good, some weak points

Actually, the story started out so well. A lone wolf who has no problem killing to protect his identity. He gets betrayed by a group, defends himself, and continues on his solitary path. Then he happens to come across another group, more or less by accident, and suddenly the story turns into a typical, boring “we all love each other and I’ll do anything for you” kind of tale. Hopefully the whole plot won’t get lost in constant tearful fights about how much everyone cares about each other.

We’re not there yet, but the signs are already very clear with book 2.

Please, no generic boredom.

I liked the book for large parts, but this time there were too many flaws.

Whats bad:
The dungeon diving around the middle got a bit repetitive. Once the plot changed, it was because of out of character decisions. The plot in the end {motivations, decisions and conclusions} seemed forced and lacked reason.(Money problems? After everything?) The narrator gets too fast when reading anything stat/skill related or reading Tanilas parts, which were to a good portion not understandable. A cliffhanger? Seriously?

Whats good:
The litRPG elements feel well included and essential. The characters and their banter is well written. The fights and and dungeons are fun and entertaining. Emotions were well projected by the narrator.

All over rather mediocre
