story doesn't really advances more like a forced sidequest u can't skip.
performance wise was kinda hit and miss with his intonations sometimes(especially the female characters)
hope It gets better next book(story)

it felt to easy, just winning got boring during the last few hours of the book.

Good, but not the Best...

i like the story a lot even if i got to say there are some major stones on the road of listening to this.
first the pros:

- worldbuilding overall is nice
- the voiceactor has a very good and solid range of different voices
- all characters are well portrayed.
- the mc has a strange grotharc that is well explained without breaking your system.
- you want to like the mc or both
- defently not a waste of time

my cons:

- the datinglife of the mc is pretty FAR too cringe and unimaginative... like a goodguy dating sim from korea xD
- the voiceactor has a good range but he tends to use really annoying voices on some lesser used chars. and the book six killed me while driving because of all of his staged screaming... it was hard to listen since i had to endlessly regulate the volume.
- Johnathan McClain uses 2 different teller voices (or changes through recording sessions) 1 is far better.

Doesn't realy feel like the next part and more like a bad spinoff on another planet.
The main party gets only mentioned here and there to prevent you from forgetting their names.

The black skill remembers stuff, but not all of it, but it knows, that it will know more once the story requieres it... and similar stuff that kills the immersion.

Feels like Shawn did want to write a different book but had to continue this series so we've gotten the worst of both worlds :(
