good story, good voice actor, very fast paced progression. fight after fight and blistering development of the mc. pretty easy to listen to while not paying 100% attention but very entertaining. I personally like some fast paced stuff in-between story driven stuff or deep world building. sometimes some straight up fun without thought is great. Only, I hate when the publisher/audible include ads at the end of the book for other crappy stuff, stop it. pet peeve I guess but annoying to me so -2 overall while still 5 for va and story.

It's a really tough decision whether to buy book 4. Every single fight follows the same pattern, absolutely every single one. The main character is practically destroyed because he's in a relationship with a high-level woman, because he's sleeping with her. But the worst part is really the predictable plot of every fight: main character is op, main character seeks a challenge, opponent arrives who's even more op, main character fights, woman cries, main character is broken but wins anyway and gets a power-up, repeat.
