It’s a “telling story”, as in “I tell you what happens, and with what intentions & nothing is simply implied, but everything is spelled out”. Therefore, expect an easy, PG12 story of a youth from the streets become powerful and find his way in the new world of the rich & powerful (cultivators).
Speaker did a fairly good job, a bit monotone maybe, but that kinda goes with the story.

Entertaining but…

Its a good one. the MC is a bit clueless and innocent, but not stupid and got the hang of things with sound and logical moves.

i am not the biggest fan of this narrator, but its okayish. for my taste is the narrator a bit to whiny and has a strange Art to stretch the words..
