This story kept us in a trance for hours on our road trip this spring. My kids (9 and 11), my husband and I were completely enthralled my this enchanting adventure. We loved all the characters and their voices. Most of the series we have listened to follow the same formula of there being a neglected child who ends up saving the day, and although this is based on the same premise, it was refreshingly unique and creative, continually keeping us guessing. We immediately missed the characters the moment the story was over and started with the second book.

Fantastic story that had the whole family at the edge of our seats!

Starting with the story it's already great. I think it's fantastical enough but still very grounded in our reality. All characters feel well thought out and believable. Maybe some times the kids talk a bit too adult.
performance wise 10/10 the cast really brings the world and characters to life

Oh I loved the story! I saw the TV show first and was all to happy to get more details from the audio book! (I think it was unabridged) Also the voices chosen to read were not too annoying and definetly nicely acted, so overall quite nice listening experience as well :)
