 Lirael has never felt like a true daughter of the Clayr. The story is quite good although, I feel the main characters are somewhat too stark sunken into self pity.

Read by Tim Curry, each character really comes to life. The story is also surprisingly relatable, although fantasy, especially for young adults and teens…but for any age honestly.

Starts a bit slowly compared to the first and third books of the series, but soon gets interesting if you persavier.

Garth Nix offers a really unique fantasy vision in this series, one that I had a hard time finishing, simply because I didn't want it to end. A bit grim at times and never afraid to explore the macabre, this fantasy borders on the horrific at times. Tim Curry does a lovely job of bringing the characters to life.
all-in-all, a really enteratining listen!
