Having just read through the Abhorsen series, I was eager to get more form Garth Nix. I was really surprised to find that: 1) the story is widely different in tone and topic 2) it is just as uniquely creative as the Abhosen.

I really enjoied this book and was pleased to find that despite the absence of Tim Curry who made such a great impression with Abhorsen, the reader of these novels is just as engaging.

I'm not finished with this sereis 'the Keys to the Kingdom' yet but am greatly anticipating each book!

Wildly Creative and Well Read

i just finished the hole series. And I am obsessed and so happy to have found these books.
The Charakters and story telling is so greatly abstract and creative. I love it to fully dive into another world, that is similar to ours but jet so much more exciting.
For those who love fantasy and a good alternative story about how the world was made, this is a treasure.

Seit Michael Ende hat meiner Meinung nach kein Autor so brilliant mit abstrakten Begriffen wie Zeit, Nichts und Wille zu spielen gewußt wie Garth Nix in diesem umwerfenden Zyklus. Der Autor wirft mit seinen Romanen einen erfrischenden Blick hinter die Kulissen unseres Universums: Im Zentrum Arthur, ein Junge, der eigentlich gerade am sterben war und Zugang zum "Haus" erhält und das Erbe der Architektin antritt mitsamt deren sehr eigenwilligen letztem Willen.Er findet auf seinem Weg weitere Verbündete und Freunde unter den höchst absonderlichen Bewohnern des Hauses, über die hier nichts weiter verraten wird. -Lasst euch überraschen!Gelesen vom absolut brillianten Allan Corduner, der es vermag den noch so absonderlichen Gestalten, denen Arthur begegnet die passenden Stimmen zu verleihen. Ein Ohrenschmaus.Es ist schwierig dieses Buch einem Genre zuzuordnen. Am ehesten läßt es sich der Phantasy zuordnen, wenn man dieses Genre sehr weit fasst. Philosophie, Humor, Anspruch und Satire kommen allerdings nicht zu kurz. Und damit wären wir wieder beim Beginn dieser Rezension: Michael Endes Momo und unendliche Geschichte haben einen würdigen Nachfolger gefunden.

The interpretation is great but the story was too complex, too fantastic to understand everything.
Recommend to those who really enjoy being transported in another world.
