action-packed, humorous and nice twists. This book was a lot of fun. If you know the previous books in the Mercy Thompson and the alpha and omega series this one is even more fun. Holter Graham is as good as ever. Worth a credit.

Let me start by saying that I read the predecessor books quite some time ago, therefore I did not remember the specifics of the narrative for example, vampires being inherently evil. I downloaded this audiobook because I found the teaser very engaging. It was very funny. The first date is by far the section most funny which I find disappointing. If you skip the second date you won’t miss much in my opinion- I actually listened to it twice and still don’t get it. It’s like a bad attitude which is really really sad because all the other stories are written if not funny but very cleverly for example the third date cross written so that you could not imagine the end of the date. Overall the writing style is very good. I was upset that the funny self reflection from the first date didn’t lingo for the following sections to be honest I found the male character really really vain. ( which I guess is part of his charm- but so very vain…)
The book contains a lot of murder a lot of blood and violence fortunately it’s not so descriptive. I prefer books that do not rely on so much blood for suspense but apart from the second date, the plot evolves interestingly and it is just so well written so four stars from me.
The speaker was simply put five star great - I will look out for more audiobooks from him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
