Left me in an absolute reading slump. What can I say - typical for the authors to keep you so entertained you just cannot stop. But when you reach the end of the book, you feel absolutly deverstated, becauseit it ended.

Awesome Story

Zwei fast separate parallele Handlungsstränge, die nach einem Sequel schreien. Spannend geschrieben, gut gesprochen. Ich bin wie immer Fan von Ilona Andrews

Gates mal anders

Ich bin Fan aller Ilona Andrews Bücher, dieses neueste macht keine Ausnahme. Die Geschichte finde ich sehr spannend, eine fast dystopische Urban Fantasy mit einer alleinerziehenden Mutter als Heldin zum Mitfiebern. Wie immer gelingt es House Andrews exzellent, eine neue Welt aufzubauen. Die Geschichte hat eine Verbindung zu den Innkeeper Chronicles. Die ist aber in diesem ersten Band noch eher angedeutet. Ich kann es jetzt schon nicht mehr erwarten, bis der nächste Band rauskommt.

I love this Dual POV narration for Ilona Andrews newest masterpiece. The voices are good fits for the characters.
The story really delivers on the rewarding achievement feeling you get while leveling up. Hearing how Ada goes from a non combat (though in an everyday kind of kick ass way) to a warrior queen is really great! And, as always with books from Ilona Andrews, the world building is great, the side characters are interesting, the story is action packed and sometimes funny. There is no romance in this book but it lays the groundwork for a slow burn romance. Five stars, waiting with bated breath for the next book in this series!
