An utterly addictive listening experience – the narration was velvety smooth, pulling me into every heated glance and breathless moment. It was captivating in all the right ways, dripping with tension, chemistry, and just the right amount of spice. Like a melt-in-the-mouth indulgence, it left me wanting more with every chapter!

Ich fand die Sprecherin schon bei Band eins sehr anstrengend, aber das hat die spannende Handlung dann wieder gut gemacht. Nach Band zwei war ich dann richtig gespannt auf Band drei und dann…? Geht es gefühlt nur noch darum, wie sehr Emilia mit Wrath ins Bett will. Die restliche Handlung geht dabei fast unter. Es fällt mir gerade schwer das Buch noch zu Ende zu hören.

Review for all three books:

There is no story, just endless dialogues, and sex scenes. With the exception of the protagonists cooking and the sex, the story isn’t shown, it’s told. Since the book is mostly made up of sex scenes even those get boring. Which leaves the cooking to be the most interesting part of the story.
On top of that, the heroine is weak, being dominated by her love interest and her out of control lust. She permanently overestimates her abilities, but doesn’t recognize her mistakes, and therefore doesn’t learn from them. Once she has more power, she uses it like a bully to intimidate. Deluded as she is, she thinks she has strength of character. We are told that this strength lies within her being furious and vengeful. Throughout the story, her reported fury just feels like a child throwing a tantrum. For me, the protagonist, her love interest and her sister, were described as being so much over the top of the believable, that they were just annoying to me.

I finished the books as I wanted to know how the story ends. I shouldn’t have.

Boring

Die übertrieben… einzigartige Art der Betonung macht es schwer, der Geschichte zu folgen. Man fragt sich, warum die Sprecherin versucht, aus jedem Satz ein Mysterium zu machen. Durch diese Irritation ist es schwer, der Geschichte an sich zu folgen.

Eigentlich dachte ich wir wären hier im Jugendbuchbereich, Doch ich bin nicht sicher, ob sich Band 3 wirklich an Jugendliche richtet. Ich bin ehrlich gesagt überrascht von der Autorin, was ist passiert?
Emilia und ihr Höllenfürst können kaum ein Wort wechseln ohne gleich zur Sache zu kommen. Und das F...-Wort muss doch wirklich nicht sein, oder bin ich da zu oldschooled?
Die Geschichte ist teilweise völlig unlogisch.
Zum Beispiel die Sache mit dem Fluch. Wieviel mehr Liebe soll ihr König ihr denn noch zeigen? Also bitte,
Und dann opfert sie alles, um Ende zu erfahren, dass die Hexe einfach nur hätte getötet werden müssen. Wäre dazu nicht wirklich genügend Zeit gewesen? Aber sie ist natürlich trotzdem im 7.Himmel. Endlich hat keiner mehr Angst vor ihr, sie kann in Ruhe kochen gehen und ihr Prinz trägt sie für alle Ewigkeit auf Händen. Ach ne......


Actually, I thought we were in the youth book section here, but I'm not sure if volume 3 is really aimed at teenagers. I am honestly surprised by the author, what happened?
Emilia and her Prince of Hell can hardly exchange a word without getting straight to the point. And the f...-word really doesn't have to be there so often, or am I too oldschooled?
Some of the story is completely illogical.
For example, the thing with the curse. How much more love is her king supposed to show her? Well, then she sacrifices everything to find out that the curse could also be broken by killing the first witch. Wouldn't there really have been enough time for that? But she's still in seventh heaven, of course. Finally no one is afraid of her anymore, she can go cooking in peace and her prince carries her on his hands for all eternity. Ah ne......

Leider nicht der Abschluss den ich mir erhofft hatte… nach dem bombastischen Ende des letzten Buches war ich neugierig wie es sich entwickeln würde.
Die Geschichte wurde mit so viel Liebe zum Detail aufgebaut nur um in diesem Buch sehr zügig und inkonsequent beendet zu werden.
Es waren viele interessante Ideen vorhanden welche dann einfach hintenüber gefallen sind.
Es scheint als hätte dies eine Reihe wie Throne of Glass werden wollen aber ohne so viele Bücher schreiben zu müssen.
Der „Plottwist“ war nicht richtig gut vorbereitet so dass vieles so wirkte als würde es nun einfach passend gemacht - als hätte man sich im letzten Moment entschlossen die Richtung zu wechseln. Schlussendlich hat die Autorin sich sehr in den ständigen Sexszenen verloren, so dass die Atmosphäre eine komplett andere wurde.
Auch dieses relativieren des großen Opfers zum Schluss war eher enttäuschend.
Wozu die Dramatik wenn sie a) die Hexe einfach hätte töten können und b) am Ende eh das Opfer eigentlich nichtig ist?
Generell fand ich die Reihe gut aber das Ende war schwach.
Sehr schade.

Nicht das Ende dass die Geschichte verdient

Die Bücher sind leider eher etwas für nebenbei, keine Besonderheit aber trotzdem war die Story der ersten Bücher recht gut. Das Problem ist, dass man sowieso schon in den ganzen vorherigen Bücher über alles im unwissenden gelassen worden ist und man im dritten Buch dann endlich ihre Charakterentwicklung erwartet hat. Jedoch hat sich die ach so legendäre Göttin benommen wie eine Jugendliche, die das erste Mal verliebt ist und von Lebenserfahrung, geschweige denn erwachsen Reaktionen war keine Spur. Das Finale war dann die größte Enttäuschung, das eine GÖTTIN einfach so alles für praktisch nichts, ohne es zu hinterfragen oder groß nachzudenken aufgibt und sich dann noch klein redet als wäre sie nicht eine der Schöpferinen dieser Welt, sondern eine Bedienstete von ihrem Tollen Ehemann

Leider ist das dritte Buch von Kapitel zu Kapitel schlechter geworden…
